Want to see the "real" Cambodia - take this tour

....I arranged the tour in advance via internet to take during our cruise ship visit to Sihanoukville. Manfred was very helpful and quick in replying to questions in preparation for the tour. We met our guide Ra just outside the port. We had eight people in our group in two vehicles. Ra was knowledgeable and personable and gave us an up close and personal introduction into "the real" Cambodia as it progresses through its development stage. We especially were impressed with the fishing village and ship construction areas. Fascinating. The beach was extremely nice, one of the best we saw. If you are adventuresome and want to truly learn about real life in Cambodia, then this tour is for you .....

Sihanoukville Day Day Tour

.....We joined Aya, Sihanoukville Guide Service for a day tour on Jan 16, 2018 during our cruise journey.
We have a group of 17 people, so we have to book in advance. Aya met us at the cruise port and led us to the van for 20 people. She brought us to the local market and was so kind to buy us the snacks there. She guided us to places as arranged and dropped us back to the cruise terminal on time. She’s very professional and nice, highly recommend her and the tour company to everyone......

A great day with Aya visiting Kampot and Kep

....I booked Aya for a one-day private tour of Kampot and Kep (from Sihanoukville). Aya and her driver Veha picked me up at my hotel and we headed out. I liked them both immediately. I was especially impressed by Aya's thoughtfulness and generosity of spirit. There were chilled bottles of water in the car for me. Aya bought some snacks from some a roadside vendor and shared them with me. We later stopped at a local oyster stand near Kampot, where Aya treated me to oysters on the half shell (as many as I wanted to eat), while Veha bought soft drinks. To reciprocate, I offered to pay for lunch for the three of us. We talked about going to a restaurant but ended up at the Crab Market in Kep. There, Aya hand-selected 2 kilos of live crabs, which the vendor expertly killed and steamed for us. We sat there on the dock gorging ourselves on the crabs (which were sweet and delicious) until they were finally gone. Actually, Aya did not eat much. Instead, she kept cleaning the crabs and handing me a steady stream of pieces to eat. I was happy to oblige. All in all, it was an enjoyable and unforgettable day. I felt as if I had Cambodian friends who were showing me around, rather than being on a "tour." Plus, there is some beautiful scenery in that part of Cambodia (including mountains). Bottom line, I would recommend Aya without hesitation. I found her warm, friendly, bright and engaging, and her English is very good. Veha's Engligh is limited, but I found him to be a really good guy and enjoyed his company as well......
